Striving to reach the lost with the gospel of Jesus and to encourage believers in their faith, Robert Liz brings it all back home with the release of his new album, “90 Seconds.” Sounding at once new and exciting yet familiar as a favorite tune, Robert takes the hard lessons he’s endured and like the night becoming day, turned those troubles into songs of hope and joy. Having spent years as a worship leader at church, playing coffeehouses, prisons, outreaches, and venues, and recording various cd’s and demos, Robert wrote and produced “90 Seconds” as an expression of his recommitment to the Lord.
Born and raised around Philadelphia, Robert practically grew up with a guitar in his hand. He learned on an old, beat-up Harmony nylon string guitar started writing songs at eleven, hanging out at studios so much that he was dubbed, “Little McCartney” by the engineers. He began recording at fourteen and never looked back. At sixteen Robert became a member and songwriter for the bands Zone 3 (new wave/rock) and Living Waters Band (blues/rock with much older, accomplished musicians) playing prisons and juvenile detention halls. He then launched into the East Coast club circuit with the bands NWG (alt./rock) and his own Robert Liz Band (original pop/rock).
Now, with new priorities and fresh vision Robert releases a new album called “90 Seconds.” With strong, passionate vocals and driving guitars mingled with acoustic, reflective songs, Robert clearly expresses his life-changing decision to follow Jesus Christ. His journey through drugs, alcohol, and immoral living nearly destroyed him and his family but, God heard the cries of Robert’s broken heart. Having written and produced “90 Seconds” at his home studio, the energy, passion, creativity, and heartfelt lyrics are felt throughout Robert’s new release. Press play and guaranteed you’ll be hooked within “90 Seconds.”
